Congratulations to our talented students who were selected for the PMEA Junior High District Choir! They showcased their skills in a wonderful concert on Friday, January 16th, 2026.

Butler Area School District has been awarded a $7,500 Pennsylvania Farm Bill Agriculture & Youth Grant to support and expand agricultural education opportunities across the district.

Reese Sequite, a junior at Butler Senior High School, has been selected as a member of Junior Achievement’s prestigious 18 Under Eighteen Class of 2026. She is the first student from Butler to receive this distinguished honor.

The Golden Tornado Marching Band recently marched at Universal Studios in Florida!

This year’s Variety Show involved about 175 students, including performers, stage crew, and members of Mr. Opalinski’s Audio Engineering class. Organized and run by STUCO, the show included a wide variety of singing, dancing, and acting, and closed with the annual teacher dance and STUCO dance.

Our Senior High Medical Careers Club, led by President Reese Sequite, recently organized and packed hygiene kits for community members in need!

Thank you to Bartosh Dental, Keelan Dental, Butler YMCA, and Fresenius for donating all of the products for the kits. Over 300 kits were packed and will be distributed at the First English Lutheran's community dinner on December 22nd.
