Butler Area School District is proud to share that Mr. Jeff Kroner has been selected as part of the 2026 class to be inducted into the PMEA Hall of Fame. The PMEA Hall of Fame was established in 2008 to honor outstanding music educators who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to the profession and to music education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

Butler Swim and Dive recently hosted Mentor Night, a meaningful evening where senior athletes recognized the individuals who have encouraged, supported, and positively influenced them throughout their journey.

The Butler Eggstravaganza is a family-friendly community event. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in the 5K race. The 1-mile fun run/walk is great for all ages. The event also includes an Easter egg hunt with prizes for children ages 10 and under. There will also be free face painting and free photos with the Easter bunny. And, of course, grand prizes for select egg hunt participants and a few lucky runners/walkers!

Scholarships associated with Senior Recognition Night will be made available on Monday, February 2nd at 8:00 am to all seniors. All applications will be completed and submitted digitally and must be received by Friday, March 6th at 11:59 pm, unless otherwise noted. Please reach out to your school counselor if you have any questions.

Butler Area School District, Butler County Community College, and Independence Health System recently announced their partnership to launch the Healthcare Pathways Career Readiness Program — a collaborative initiative designed to address critical workforce shortages across Butler County and the surrounding region while giving students the opportunity to experience careers in healthcare. The program responds to growing demand for qualified healthcare workers in high-need roles such as nursing assistants, medical assistants, EMTs, laboratory technicians, patient support staff, Advanced Practice Providers (APP), and essential hospital operations positions.

Butler Area School District was proudly represented at the PMEA District 5 Chorus Festival, with 14 Senior High School students selected to participate. During the festival, students auditioned for the PMEA Region Chorus, and five Butler students advanced: Sophia Cornetti, Amara DiCerbo, Luvenia Griffin, Kelsey Kennedy, and Zacharias Marra.
